Get Your Blog Into Gear - New Design!
VOILA!
While I was in Tasmania, I tried my best to keep up with some of my favourite blogs. One such blog was creative designer, David Airey’s, and his post, “What does your website say about you?” really caught my attention. It helped me to see that the design I had on this blog, was definately not sending out the message that I wanted for my visitors. So, after some thought, I began to work on something new, and you’re viewing the progress thus far right now.
I’m quite happy with what I’ve achieved, and I think it more accurately represents this blog, but I would be interested in your thoughts. I am still working on getting everything put together the way I want, but it’s really only tying up loose ends.
Please comment, and let me know of any issues, and your suggestions.

7 WordPress Plugins You Probably Aren’t Using, But Should!
One of the benefits WordPress has over it’s competitors, is the massive plugin support available. I’m going to share with you a few plugins I’ve discovered, and have been running on this blog for some time now, but you might not have even heard of some of them. [Read more →]

Social Poster - Social Bookmark To All Sites In One Go!
It’s strange the things that happen while you’re away. I’ve just come online to find “5 Steps To Get Indexed By Google In 48 Hours” has (so far) received over 1,500 unique hits. Was it linked to on Problogger? I wish! No, they’ve all come through StumbleUpon.
There’s no doubt about it, the social bookmarking sites have a lot going for them. Like me, you probably have your favourite one’s, but you’d like to use more; the problem however is time. [Read more →]

Just A Reminder
This is just an informal post to let you all know I’m in Tazmania. As such, I have limited access to the net and you will probably notice that my last post is rather messy. It was posted in a hurry on a nasty 800×600 screen, so I’ll clean it up when I get home.
Speaking of which, I get home next Monday, and things will be back to normal then. My blogging time is always limited, but this has been a lesson in preparation for me. If at all possible, pre-post your articles. I’m regretting that I haven’t, but hoping that my readership will forgive me.
I also want to encourage you all to try and get out to Tazmania if you ever get the chance. If you love beautiful scenery, you’ll love this place, although it really does test your clutch control! The hills are steep, and there isn’t a flat area to be seen.
I’m enjoying reading up on HTML and CSS, and I have a mental picture of a design I might put together from scratch for this blog. It’s going to be unique, and should set it apart from everything else. However, I anticipate that it may be another month before it is launched.
Anyway, must go. This 800×600 screen is way to frustrating!

How To Set Up A WordPress Blog In 12 Easy Steps!
I’m not sure how many non-bloggers I get visiting this site, but there may be one or two who have yet to set up a blog, and aren’t sure what to do. There may also be some users of free services, who would like a hosted blog running on WordPress, but have no idea how to transfer files, etc.
Now I must admit, the WordPress Codex has a guide, but when I started out (showing my ignorance here), I couldn’t make head or tail of it. I also didn’t know about the “one click install” hosting services out there.
Whatever your need is, I hope this guide may be helpful to one or two.
I’d like you to be aware that it’s very difficult to try and do a guide like this that is so comprehensive. Some areas are impossible to do ’step-by-step’ but I’ve tried my best and I just hope it’s enough to get you up and running. [Read more →]
