About
The Owner
It’s difficult to resist the urge to begin writing in third person. It gives one a sense of importance, as if someone else has taken the time to write a short bio about you. But as Armen doesn’t consider himself important, there’s really no need.
I’m 24, and married. Having lived most of my life in Northern Ireland, I am now living (until futher notice) in Australia, and so far, so good.
Prior to moving to Australia, I set up a personal blog in order to keep family and friends up-to-date with our experiences, helping to ease the pain of parting for some of us. Through this ongoing learning experience, I have acquired just about enough knowledge to experiment in another area of blogging.
The Blog
As my workload in Australia is fairly intensive, iffect.net is really a hobby to give my mind somewhere else to focus. Everyone needs some ‘downtime’, and as I’m now away from friends and family, part of my relaxing time is now spent writing.
As I have been blogging, and learning about blogging over the past number of months now, I feel I can contribute to (albeit) an already saturated community. There are a wealth of blogs about blogging, but for the most part they are experimental Adsense filled sites, started by someone who heard they could make money by blogging, and couldn’t think of anything else to write about, other than blogging.
After observing the blogosphere for quite some time, I noticed that basic ethics is an area that’s touched upon now and then, but largely ignored. I’ll be honest, it’s going to be difficult to blog continously on online ethical issues, so I will branch out into other areas of advice, which I hope you’ll find to be (for the most part) original.
Put simply, I hope to make a difference, and encourage others to do the same.
